Legacy of a Former Member

Members of Ingleby Arncliffe WI have been knitting various items for charity with yarn donated to them following the sad death of one of our most valued WI members.  Venetia Wade was a lifelong member whose mother was one of the founding members of our WI.  

Venetia had attended meetings from being a young teenager and later held various positions within our group, including being President for many years.  Always a keen crafter, whether sewing or knitting, she left behind a great amount of wool which her husband, Alan, kindly donated to our group. Members have been very busy over the past year and have crafted this wool into baby clothes and blankets for the Neo Natal Ward at James Cook University Hospital,  and made small blankets which will be donated to a local hospice.
